I got an email yesterday from our lawyers. They have given authorization for the keys to our house to be handed to the new owners as they sent over the trust and cheque. FIN.AL.LY
We didn't get any extra money because they felt that we "hadn't been inconvenienced" and that "we should understand" that it wasn't their fault that even though they said they were pre-approved it turns out they weren't so someone else had to get the mortgage for him and they could have let the deal die but they didn't. I feel like we were played. They couldn't let the deal die without use keeping their deposit and suing them.
Very frustrating. I hope we get our funds soon. We have things we'd like to pay for/off. And we'd like to go down to the states or something for a weekend in August.
I'm never selling a house again.
